On Thursday we have the Executive Council meeting. It’s business and I didn’t take any pictures, so you can’t prove any differently. 🙂
But after the Executive Council meeting we have the CCTE Reception. It includes one free drink and good music. Last year we were at the National Children’s Illustration Museum. This year we were at McPherson Cellars.
The view on the way in:
Greeted by the staff.
Greeted by the great folks from Lubbock Christian University. Carol!
They even greeted each other…
There was some wonderful music. Folks who knew these guys (like Ronna Privet) came up and told me stories about them when they were little. I won’t share those here, guys, so don’t worry!
The food was beautiful and delicious.
We ate it all up!
Mostly, though, we stood around and talked, trading stories, catching up with friends made across the years at CCTE, and basically having a wonderful time. (When we get the Facebook page up, I will post pics and you can all tag them there.)
Some of the conversations were serious.
And we didn’t stay in one place, but mingled with lots of different folks.
The grad students from Tarleton State University (go, ladies!) were fun and interesting. I hung around them for a while.
Marcie came over, too. She’s faculty and a lot of fun.
Moumin is also faculty, of course. I don’t think I spoke to him that evening, but I did take pictures.
We will now leave the Tarleton State University contingent (Yay for y’all for showing up and being so involved!) and go on to the rest of the folks.
Okay, here’s another of Moumin, but he’s with Linda Carroll.
LCU folks: Kenneth and Jana.
Lots of other folks. See your friends? Come join us next year and you will…
